Shabnam Hasanova was born in July 10, 1989, in Tovuz, Azerbaijan. She received her secondary education in Baku Turkish Anatolian High School. Her graduation GPA was 4.5/5. Her bachelor entrance exam score was 610/700. She received her BSc diploma of honours on International Relations from the Faculty of Public Administration at the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in 2009-2013. She received MSc degree on Public Policy from the School of Public and International Affairs at ADA University between 2016-2018. While studying at ADA she received Certificate of Academic Excellence for an Outstanding Academic Performance (4 GPA) by Rector of ADA University, Ambassador Hafiz Pashayev (2017). During February-May, 2018 she was Teaching Assistant at School of Public and International Affairs, ADA University where she professionally started her academic career. Her essay which was dedicated to the100th year anniversary of Azerbaijan Democratic Republic was published in a school book by ADA University.
Currently she is writing Ph.D. thesis on “Energy Security of Europe and Southern Gas Corridor Project” at International Relations and Foreign Policy Department at the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Shabnam Hasanova’s research interests cover Political Science, Energy Security, International Relations, Policy Analysis, Public Policy.
She is translator of “Journal of Public Administration: Theory and Practice” (Scientific and Theoretical Journal) at the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Simultaneously she works as an instructor at “SABAH” groups, Azerbaijan State University of Economics where the instruction language is English. She has work experience from public and private sector.
Her article on “Energy Security of Azerbaijan and Southern Gas Corridor Project” was published within the framework of Scientific Conference of PhD Students-“Heydar Aliyev’s Ideas and Contemporary Azerbaijan” dedicated to the 96th anniversary of National Leader Heydar Aliyev. Recently she has published her article on “Energy Security of Europe and Southern Gas Corridor Project” at Journal of Public Administration: Theory and Practice” (Scientific and Theoretical Journal). She writes analytical articles for newspapers and speaks on TV and Radio channels as an expert of International Relations. Currently she is writing a book which she is planning to present in 2020.
She knows Turkish, English, Russian fluently. She likes swimming, writing poems and reading books. She is married, has a child.
