Recep was born in Karamursel, Kocaeli, Turkey and currently residing in Istanbul, Turkey. He is currently pursuing the PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering at Koç University, Istanbul, Turkey.
Recep also holds a B.S degree in Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering from Istanbul Technical University, Istanbul, Turkey and a M.S degree in Petroleum Engineering from Colorado School of Mines, Golden, USA.
He has both international and national extensive research and working experience. His research and expertise focus on Computational Fluid Dynamics, Micro-fluidic chips, Turbulent Combustion, Reservoir Engineering, Reservoir Simulation, Hydraulic Fracturing, Unconventional Resources, DFITs, Well Testing, EOR, Petroleum Economics, and Programming in Matlab, Python, C++. In addition, he has publications relevant to his research areas.
